Effective participation for transparent and accountable local governance (EPTALG)

Effective participation for transparent and accountable local governance (EPTALG) project is one of the vital project of OWDEB. The project is working by the support of DIAKONIA to promote a democratic and pluralistic society by empowering the poor and marginalized, particularly women, through organized efforts for effective participation.

Specific objective(s) of project are –

  1. Empowering NSAs (including Media) to support their effective participation in democratic local governance and claiming of rights(particularly women’s rights)
  2. Strengthening local governance through improved accountability and transparency of LAs
  3. Strengthening collective actions through organizing NSAs and LAs for increased networking
  4. Strengthening NSAs’ capacity in advocacy/ lobbying and awareness rising for pro-people policies.

  • Strengthen capacity and increase knowledge among CBOs/ NGOs and LAs;
